Statistician cracks secret code behind lottery tickets
I never liked those scratch games with the exposed elements, these extended play games like crossword, bingo and tic-tac-toe.
Mainly because it took too snip long to figure out if you won! And that translucent blue covering over the letters was sticky and messy, unlike the dry scratch off for regular scratch games that brushes away. Played them couple of times and then never again.
Now with this report, I have one more reason to hate those types of scratch-off games, the higher potential f

Chicago man credits mom with $2.5 million lottery win
Makes perfect sense to me.
Just reading the story, he says he frequently has his mom buy tickets for him. Well, for draw tickets, you have to wait to find out if you're a winner. But for scratch games, there is no waiting, you can just scratch and find out instantly if you're a winner. So that's what she does for him since she's a clerk. Scratch the code and find out if it's a winner.
Maybe it's just me, I don't find the actual *act* of scratching to be fun. That's like saying you find the

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
They are transitioning a lot of the older games to newer versions that have the barcode on the front under the scratch area. This may be a reason why they will come out with a new Gold Rush version as opposed to re-ordering the old style tickets without barcode on the front. The goal is to have all scratch games with the newer front barcodes for more convenient scanning and validation...

Former MD Lottery employee charged with theft of lottery tickets
He only got $67,000 back from $99,600 in tickets. That's pretty much right in line with the statistical average for most scratch games. Heck, I got better than 67% return from all my scratch games play, and I ain't a cheatin DSR! From the numbers, he probably never hit any large top prize, just regular winners that normal folks get.

Haven't you seen my posts that say to boycott the NY scratch games that are annuity only, like the $20 game, the $10 games, and the $5 game Million-Dollar FUMBLE? The best NY scratch game is the $1 INSTANT Take Five.
