For Those Of Us Who Remember The Fun Hollywood Squares :-)

FOR THOSE OF US WHO REMEMBER HOLLYWOOD SQUARES

FOR THOSE OF US WHO REMEMBER

These great questions and answers are from the days when Hollywood Squares' game show responses were spontaneous, not scripted, as they are now!

A. Paul Lynde: Loneliness!

(The audience laughed so long and so hard it took up almost 15 minutes of the show!)

Q. Do female frogs croak?

A. Paul Lynde: If you hold their little heads under water long enough.

Q. If you're going to make a parachute jump, at least how high should you be

A. Charley Weaver: Three days of steady drinking should do it.

A. Don Knotts: That's what's been keeping me awake.

A. George Gobel: I don't know, but it's coming from the next apartment.

Q. As you grow older, do you tend to gesture more or less with your hands while talking?

A. Rose Marie: You ask me one more growing old question Peter, and I'll give you a gesture you'll never forget.

Q. Paul, why do Hell's Angels wear leather?

A. Paul Lynde: Because chiffon wrinkles too easily.

Q. Charley, you've just decided to grow strawberries. Are you going to get any during the first year?

A. Charley Weaver: Of course not, I'm too busy growing strawberries.

Q. In bowling, what's a perfect score?

A. Rose Marie: Ralph, the pin boy.

Q. During a tornado, are you safer in the bedroom or in the closet?

A. Rose Marie: Unfortunately Peter, I'm always safe in the bedroom.

A. Paul Lynde: Whatever it is, it would never be afraid of the dark..

A. Charley Weaver: His feet.

Q. According to Ann Landers, what are two things you should never do in bed?

A. Paul Lynde: Point and laugh

"Urine Or You're Out"!

TO PEE OR NOT TO PEE

Makes sense to me. Sounds like an excellent plan too.

I have a job.

I work, and they pay me.

I pay my taxes and the government

distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, in my case,

I am required to pass a random urine test

(with which I have no problem).

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my

taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.

So, here is my question:

Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check

because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting

on their Bottom----doing drugs while I work.

Can you imagine how much money each state would save

if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

I guess we could call the program  "URINE OR YOU'RE OUT"!

Something has to change in this country .. AND SOON!

Oh, and also, all politicians should have to pass a urine

test too!

I wonder how many would be left in power?

Overwhelmed' Letter Carrier Held Onto 17,000 Pieces Of Mail :-(

'Overwhelmed' Letter Carrier Held Onto 17,000 Pieces Of Mail

An “overwhelmed” New York City postal worker stashed more than 17,000 pieces of mail in his home, car and work locker rather than delivering them, authorities said.

Aleksey Germash, 53, a 16-year Postal Service veteran from Brooklyn, was charged on Thursday with knowingly holding onto mail,  according to the New York Daily News. Investigators said they found mail in his home, car and work locker that dated back to at least 2005.

Germash’s attorney, federal defender Michelle Gelernt, had no comment when reached by HuffPost.

Germash was “overwhelmed by the amount of mail that he had to deliver,” but said he “made sure to deliver the important mail,” according to a  criminal complaint obtained by CNN

Postal Service investigators found the stash after a tip about a vehicle containing multiple blue mailbags filled with mail. The investigators say they discovered 20 bags of mail — containing about 10,000 letters —  inside the vehicle on Wednesday, Pix 11 reports.

Germash’s case has gone viral and is making national news headlines, but it’s not the first time for such a situation. Earlier this month, postal inspectors found  around 60 bags of undelivered mail  at the home of a postal carrier on New York’s Long Island.

2008 Slate article exploring the issue of mail carriers hanging onto mail cited numerous similar cases, noting that the phenomenon dates back to at least 1874, when a postman in Rhode Island threw mail into the ocean. According to the article, the cases often involve large quantities junk mail, though in some cases mail carriers have been caught failing to deliver first-class mail as well.

CA Lottery $125M Jack Pot makes a 10 Cent MARTINIS :-)

10 CENT MARTINI

Four old guys are walking down third ave street in Chula Vista, San Diego. They turn a corner and see a sign that says, "Old Timers Bar - ALL drinks 10 cents."

They look at each other and then go in, thinking this is too good to be true.

The old bartender says in a voice that carries across the room,

"Come on in and let me pour one for you! What'll it be, gentlemen?"

There's a fully stocked bar, so each of the men orders a martini.

In no time the bartender serves up four iced martinis shaken,

not stirred and says, "That's 10 cents each, please."

The four guys stare at the bartender for a moment, then at each other. They can't believe their good luck They pay the 40 cents, finish their martinis, and order another round.

Again, four excellent martinis are produced, with the bartender again saying, "That's 40 cents, please."

They pay 40 cents, but their curiosity gets the better of them.

They've each had two martinis and haven't even spent a dollar yet.

Finally one of them says, "How can you afford to serve martinis

as good as these for a dime apiece?"

"I'm a retired jeweler, from Labanon," the bartender says, "and I always wanted to own a bar. Last year hit CA  Lottery Jackpot for $125 million  and decided to open this place. Every drink costs a dime.  Wine, Liquor, beer it's all the same."

"Wow! That's some story!" one of the men says. As the four of them sip their martinis, they can't help noticing seven other people at the end of the bar who don't have any drinks in front of them and haven't ordered anything the whole time they've been there.

Nodding at the seven at the end of the bar, one of the men ask the

Bartender, "What's with them?"

The bartender says:

"They're retired people from Beirut.

They're waiting for Happy Hour when drinks are half-price.

Coffee with Jesus :-)

Coffee with Jesus ?

A Republican, in a wheelchair, entered a restaurant one afternoon and asked the waitress for a cup of coffee. The Republican looked across the restaurant and asked is that Jesus sitting over there?" The waitress nodded "yes! So, the Republican requested that she give Jesus a cup of coffee, on him.

The next patron to come in was a Libertarian, with a hunched back. He shuffled over to a booth, painfully sat down, and asked the waitress for a cup of hot tea. He also glanced across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus, over there?"

The waitress nodded, so the Libertarian asked her to give Jesus a cup of hot tea, "My treat."

The third patron to come into the restaurant, was a Democrat on crutches. He hobbled over to a booth, sat down and hollered, “ ey there honey! How's about getting me a cold mug of Miller Light!”  He, too, looked across the restaurant and asked, "Isn't that God’s boy over there?”  The waitress nodded, so the Democrat directed her to give Jesus a cold beer. "On my bill," he said loudly so everyone in the restaurant could hear.

As Jesus got up to leave, he passed by the Republican, touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Republican felt the strength come back into his legs, got up and began to praise the Lord.

Jesus passed by the Libertarian, touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Libertarian felt his back straightening up, he raised his hands and he, too, began to praise the Lord.

Then, Jesus walked, with a huge smile on his face, towards the Democrat. The Democrat jumped up and yelled, "Don't touch me....... I'm on disability!"

How Midwestern mom ended up married to ISIS Muslim sniper :-(

How this Midwestern mom ended up married to an ISIS Muslim sniper

True But Nasty Story.....

Samantha Sally and her late husband, Moussa Elhassani. (Photo: via Facebook)

A mother of four from Indiana is sharing how she became involved with ISIS — and why she and her children are now being held in a Syrian-Kurdish jail.

Samantha Sally spoke to CNN about how her “romantic” second marriage to Moroccan-born husband Moussa Elhassani resulted in an unexpected move to Syria in 2014. Once there, Elhassani became violent and joined ISIS as a sniper.

“Before he would spoil me,” the 32-year-old American said. “We were very much in love. The romance never left. As soon as we came here, it changed. I was a dog. I didn’t have any choice. He was extremely violent. And there was nothing I could do about it. Nothing.”

The couple moved to Syria along with their daughter and Sally’s son from her first marriage. Sally, who first met Elhassani while they both worked at a delivery company in Elkhart, Ind., says that they originally planned to temporarily move to Elhassani’s native Morocco. First, however, they traveled to Hong Kong to transfer their money, followed by a vacation in Turkey.

It was their arrival in Turkey, near the border with Syria, where Elhassani revealed his intention to join ISIS. Although Sally opposed the plan, she feared that leaving Elhassani would separate her from her daughter.

“To stay there with my son or watch my daughter leave with my husband — I had to make a decision,” she told CNN.
“Maybe I would never have seen my daughter again ever, and how can I live the rest of my life like that?”
The family ended up settling in Raqqa, Syria, where Sally gave birth to two more children. In addition to Elhassani’s violent behavior, she was subjected to abuse from ISIS leaders, including a three-month stretch in jail while she was pregnant. Sally says that she was tortured, sexually abused, and put in solitary confinement while being accused of espionage on behalf of the U.S.
Their home life eventually included the purchase of three Yazidi slaves — two teenage females and one young boy — captured by ISIS. Both girls were raped by Elhassani, though Sally defends having them stay in her home.
No one will ever know what it is like to watch their husband rape a 14-year-old girl,” she said. “Ever. And then she comes to you — me — after crying and I hold her and tell her it’s going to be OK. Everything is going to be fine, just be patient.
“I would never apologize for bringing those girls to my house,” she added. “They had me and I had them. And we knew that if we were just patient, we would stick together. You understand? In any other situation, they would be locked in a bedroom and fed tea every day. And the situation I was in with them, we cooked together, we cleaned together. Drank coffee together. Slept in the same room together. I was like their mother.”
Her eldest son, Matthew, was also taken advantage of and was made to appear in videos on behalf of the terrorist group. Sally’s objection to his participation resulted in a beating and two broken ribs.
Things changed when Elhassani was killed in a drone strike in 2017. Sally and her family eventually left Raqqa and were detained soon after. They remain in custody and wait for U.S. officials determine whether her affiliation with ISIS merits jail time.
Sally, meanwhile, is hopeful that she and her four children are able to return to the U.S.
“I will do anything to get my kids back where they belong,” she said. “If I have to spend 15 years in prison, it’s better than anything here.
“Me and my kids, we talk about wanting to eat McDonald’s,” she continued. “We want to live a normal life again.”

Tammie Jo Shults? Pilot of Southwest flight 'hero' with 'nerves of steel

Who is Tammie Jo Shults? Pilot of Southwest flight called a 'hero' with 'nerves of steel

Southwest plane makes emergency landing in Philadelphia with engine, window damage

(Reuters) - The pilot who safely landed a stricken Southwest Airlines flight on Tuesday got her first flying experience in the U.S. Navy, touching down F-18 fighter jets at 150 miles per hour on aircraft carriers.

Tammie Jo Shults, 56, may have drawn on her Navy skills when one of the two engines on her Boeing 737-700 blew and broke apart at 32,000 feet on Tuesday, forcing her to implement a rapid descent towards Philadelphia International Airport.

The explosion killed one passenger and nearly sucked another out of a shattered window.

One of the first female fighter pilots in the U.S. Navy, Shults calmly told air traffic control that part of her plane was missing, and she would need ambulances on the runway.

"So we have a part of the aircraft missing so we're going to need to slow down a bit," Shults told a controller.

Many of the 144 passengers sang her praise on social media after Shults thanked them for their bravery as they left the plane.

"The pilot Tammy Jo was so amazing! She landed us safely in Philly," said Amanda Bourman on Instagram.

Passenger Alfred Tumlinson said of Shults, according to CBS, "She has nerves of steel. That lady, I applaud her. I'm going to send her a Christmas card — I'm going to tell you that — with a gift certificate for getting me on the ground. She was awesome." He added, "The lady, the crew, everything, everybody was immaculate. They were so professional in what they did to get us on the ground."

Diana McBride Self took to Facebook to thank Shults. "Her grace and knowledge under pressure were remarkable," she wrote. "She came through the plane personally to check on us after she landed our crippled airplane. ... We were truly all in amazing hands."

Passengers identified Shults as the pilot. Southwest Airlines declined to name the crew of flight 1380 and Shults was not immediately available for comment.

Authorities said the crew did what they were trained to do.

"They're in the simulator and practice emergency descents..and losing an engine... They did the job that professional airline pilots are trained to do," National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Robert Sumwalt told reporters.

"GOD SENT HIS ANGELS"

Shults might never have become a pilot if she had not been so determined to fly from a young age.

She is quoted on fighter plane blog F-16.net saying she tried to attend an aviation career day at high school but was told they did not accept girls.

A native of New Mexico, she never lost the urge to fly and, after studying medicine in Kansas, applied to the Air Force. It would not let her take the test to become a pilot, but the U.S. Navy did.

She was one of the first female F-18 pilots and became an instructor before she left the Navy in 1993 and joined Southwest, according to the blog.

A Christian, who is married to a fellow pilot and has two children, Shults said that sitting in the captain's chair gave her "the opportunity to witness for Christ on almost every flight."

Bourman was among passengers who said they had been saved by divine intervention.

"God sent his angels to watch over us," she said.
