Officials at a high school in upstate New York went into alert after receiving threats of a school shooting.

Abigail Hernandez, 21, an illegal alien shielded from deportation under the Obama-era DACA program, was arrested last week after threatening to carry out a school shooting in Rochester,  WJLA reports.

Deputy Chief La’Ron Singletary of Rochester police said Hernandez made the threat on East High School’s Facebook page using a fake profile, which caused police to take several days to track her down.

 

“I’m coming tomorrow morning and I’m going to shoot all of ya b*****s” Hernandez wrote on Feb. 16, just two days after the shooting that left 17 dead at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.

 

School district officials reported the threat, and an investigation eventually led law enforcement to the home of Hernandez, where officers discovered a shotgun.

 

Police did not say whether the weapon had been purchased by Hernandez or by someone else in her home

Boston College librarians argue Christians who say 'God bless you' are Islamophobic

Simmons College librarians argue that Christians who say "God bless you" or "Merry Christmas" are committing acts of "Islamomisic microaggressions."  (Google maps)

If you’ve ever wished someone a “Merry Christmas” or said “God bless you” when someone sneezes, you’ve committed an act of “Islamomisic microaggressions,” according to college librarians at a Massachusetts college.

“Islamomisic Microaggressions are commonplace verbal or behavioral indignities, whether intentional or unintentional, which communicates hostile, derogatory, or negative slights in relation to the beliefs and religious practices of Muslims,” the librarians argue. “They are structurally based and invoke oppressive systems of religious/Christian hierarchy.”

A spokesperson told Fox News the guide is not a policy of Simmons College.

“The information in this guide is an introductory resource intended to provide general information about anti-oppression, diversity, and inclusion,” the statement read. “It is by no means a complete guide to social justice issues, religions, conversations or points of view.”

As disclaimer, the guide adds, “We are not immune from the limits and hidden biases of our own privileges and perspectives as allies. We welcome and greatly appreciate any feedback and suggestions for the guide, particularly from the perspectives and experiences of the marginalized groups listed and not listed here.”

The librarians argue Christians are especially guilty of Islamomisic microaggressions for using phrases like “Merry Christmas,” “Happy Easter,” and “God bless you.”

 

Some other microaggressions aimed at Muslims include “endorsing religious stereotypes,” such as viewing hijabs as fashionable, suggesting Muslims practice the “wrong” religion, and having “the assumption of one’s own religious identity as the norm.”

 

The controversial resource argues “people who follow Christianity have institutionalized power,” or “Christian privilege,” which is demonstrated when they “expect to have time off work to celebrate religious holidays” or worship without fear of violence or threats.

The guide also argues that Christians suffer from “Christian fragility” and may become angry, hostile, or defensive during conversations about religion because Christians lack the skills for constructive engagement with other religions.

 

“Within this dominant social environment, Christians come to expect social comfort and a sense of belonging and superiority,” the librarians write. “They may become defensive, positioning themselves as victims of anti-Islamomisic work and co-opting the rhetoric of violence to describe their experiences of being challenged on religious privilege.”

 

 

The page features a TED talk by Melissa Boigon, where she said Islamophobia has turned into a fear of Arabs and not Islam itself. Boigon stated there is nothing “violent or anti-American” about sharia law.

South African Parliament Votes to SEIZE White-owned Land   

 

“We are not calling for the slaughter of white people – at least for now”, Julius Malema…

 

 (Daily Mail) White  South African farmers will be removed from their land after a landslide vote in parliament.   The country’s constitution is now likely to be amended to allow for the confiscation of white-owned land without compensation, following a motion brought by radical Marxist opposition leader Julius Malema.    It passed by 241 votes for to 83 against after a vote on Tuesday, and the policy was a key factor in new president Cyril Ramaphosa’s platform after he took over from Jacob Zuma in February.

 

Mr Malema said the time for ‘reconciliation is over’. ‘Now is the time for justice,’  News24  reported. ‘We must ensure that we restore the dignity of our people without compensating the criminals who stole our land.’   Mr Malema has a long-standing commitment to land confiscation without compensation. In 2016 he told his supporters he was ‘not calling for the slaughter of white people – at least for now’.

 

A 2017 South African government audit found white people owned 72 per cent of farmland.    Rural affairs minister for the ruling African National Congress party said ‘The ANC unequivocally supports the principle of land expropriation without compensation’.    ‘There is no doubt about it, land shall be expropriated without compensation.’

 

Freedom Front Plus party leader Pieter Groenewald said the decision to strip white farmers of their land would cause ‘unforeseen consequences that is not in the interest of South Africa’.     The deputy chief executive of civil rights group Afriforum said the motion was a violation of agreements made at the end of apartheid.

‘Kill all white people’: Accused killer who targeted white victims now charged in six murders....

For a year, the walking and biking trails snaking through south Kansas City, Mo., were plagued with bloodshed.

 

Beginning in August 2016 and continuing deep into the next year, the bodies of hikers and dog walkers were found dead along the city’s Indian Creek trail or on nearby roadways. They were all shot. They were all middle-aged. They were all white.

 

The killing stopped after the August arrest of Fredrick Demond Scott, a 22-year-old Burger King employee. As The Washington Post  reported in September, Scott, who is African American, had allegedly threatened to shoot up his high school and “kill all white people.”

 

 

Last fall, Scott pleaded not guilty to three murders — the deaths of Karen Harmeyer, 64; John Palmer, 54; and Steven Gibbons, 57.

 

He was the suspect in three additional deaths and on Friday a grand jury in Jackson County indicted Scott in connection with them. The victims,  according to the Associated Press, were Michael Darby, 61; Timothy Rice, 57; and David Lenox, 67.

All combined, Scott now faces a total six counts of first-degree murder and six counts of armed criminal action.

 

“We’re thankful that he is off the street and hopefully he’ll be held accountable for what he has done,” Mindy Lenox, the David Lenox’s daughter, told  the Kansas City Star. “I don’t know for me personally that there is any closure. Nothing can bring my dad back and nothing can take that pain away, but at least knowing that the person responsible will be held accountable, it will certainly be helpful.”

Scott has yet to enter a plea to the latest charges.

 

Authorities have not publicly addressed a possible motive for the killings, racial or otherwise.  Last August, Scott’s mother told the Star her son was suffering from untreated paranoid schizophrenia and did not appear to be driven by racial animus.

 

“As far as I know Fredrick never had a problem with white people,” his mother told the paper. “He would do odd jobs for people and some of those people were white men.”

 

The alleged murder rampage was first discovered when the body of Palmer was found in the woods off the Indian Creek trail, a 26-mile loop running through Kansas City. Four additional bodies were found through the year.

 

Karen Harmeyer, the only woman victim, was killed in July 2017. According to  Fox 4, she was homeless and was found dead in a tent by friends. Her killing was not initially linked to Scott after his arrest last fall. But in October, police  charged the suspect with her death.

 

The last victim, Steven Gibbons, was killed after leaving a bus stop in August 2017.

The Gibbons murder is what led authorities to Scott.

 

As The Post reported last year, security footage from the scene allegedly spotted Scott emerging from a city bus at the same stop as Gibbons. At the crime scene, police discovered a 32-ounce Brisk Ice Tea bottle. Working off security cameras from various stops along the route, detectives found footage of Scott buying the same drink before the murder.

 

Following Scott’s arrest, local news outlets dug up his alleged past threats regarding race. In 2014, Scott was a student at an alternative school when he allegedly threatened to “shoot the school up, Columbine-style.” According to municipal court documents, he also spoke of wanting to kill himself and to “kill all white people.”
