Manure.. An interesting fact.

 Manure  : In the 16th and 17th centuries, everything for export had to be transported by ship. It was also before the invention of commercial fertilizers, so large shipments of manure were quite common.

It was shipped dry, because in dry form it weighed a lot less than when wet, but once water (at sea) hit it, not only did it become heavier, but the process of fermentation began again, of which a by-product is methane gas. As the stuff was stored below decks in bundles you can see what could (and did) happen.  Methane began to build up below decks and the first time someone came below at night with a lantern,  BOOOOM!

 

Several ships were destroyed in this manner before it was determined just what was happening

 

After that, the bundles of manure were always stamped with the instruction ' Stow high in transit ' on them, which meant for the sailors to stow it high enough off the lower decks so that any water that came into the hold would not touch this "volatile" cargo and start the production of methane.

 

Thus evolved the term '  S.H.I.T ' , (Stow High In Transit)  ,…………. “So it’s really not a swear word”

which has come down through the centuries and is in use to this very day.  You probably did not know the true history of this word.  Neither did I

 

I had always thought it was a golfing term

 

A Las Vegas woman faces a possible life sentence after jurors found her guilty of imposing years of abuse on her three adopted children.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Christopher Hamner said jurors made the right decision Tuesday when they convicted Janet Solander of all 46 counts she faced.

“What she did was inexcusable, unjustifiable, and it’s horrifying to think that a parent would do that to their daughters,” the prosecutor said.

Solander, who authored a book that was critical of Child Protective Services, could receive a life prison term for nearly three years of continual abuse that prosecutors said she carried out “just to hurt,” “just to humiliate” and “just to cause pain.”

Throughout a month of testimony and in closing arguments to jurors on Monday, prosecutors also criticized the state’s Division of Child and Family Services for not responding more quickly to signs of trouble within the home.

“Janet abused these kids, and CPS failed them,” Chief Deputy District Attorney Jacqueline Bluth said. “She doesn’t get a pass because CPS can’t do their job”

‘Stranger to the Truth’

The prosecutor said Solander regularly lied to case workers and even fabricated a biography on the jacket of her book, “Foster Care: How to Fix this Corrupted System,” falsely claiming she was a registered nurse with multiple degrees.

“She is literally a stranger to the truth,” Bluth said.

Defense attorney Caitlyn McAmis pointed out that the children were abandoned by their mother and abused by their grandmother before Solander adopted them.

 

The lawyer dismissed much of the testimony, saying it came from “troubled girls,” and said they had concocted inexact stories of abuse at the hands of Solander because “they didn’t want to go home,” where they were not allowed to watch television or drink soda.

McAmis argued that the girls converted experiences with their biological family to “larger-than-life allegations” against Solander.

Solander, 57, was found guilty of  charges that include child abuse, neglect or endangerment with substantial bodily harm; sexual assault with a minor under 14; and assault with a deadly weapon.

She forced the girls — then ages 9 through 12 — to sleep on hard floors, sit on paint buckets and stand in trash bags for hours. She smacked them with a paint stir stick, slammed one girl’s head into a counter and burned another with hot water.

“No one forced her to do this, no one,” Hamner told the jury.

Sexual assault charges

The sexual assault charges stemmed from allegations that Solander unnecessarily used a catheter on the girls.

 

“There is no defense,” Hamner said. “Janet Solander had no right or reason to do this.”

McAmis flatly rejected the use of a catheter, saying that a photo prosecutors presented as evidence could have been used by Solander as a “scare tactic.”

“You don’t have any credible evidence that a catheter was used in the home,” McAmis said. “How do you know that wasn’t just a stock photo from the internet?”

Prosecutors showed copies of receipts indicating that Dwight Solander bought six catheters.

While conceding that Janet Solander was “not a good match” for the girls and became “creative with her efforts to modify behavior,” her attorney downplayed physical discipline, such as the use of paint stir sticks, and suggested the girls were highly troubled before they entered the Solander home.

“Janet Solander was not best equipped to deal with these girls, but it does not make her guilty of these offenses,” McAmis said. “Everything Janet did, she did out of a genuine desire to help these girls.”

Many calls but no action

At least five investigators from Child Protective Services responded to more than a dozen calls but took no action on reports that three adopted girls were being abused in the Las Vegas home, prosecutors said.

Foster children in the home told investigators that the girls were treated like prisoners.

Bluth said Solander told investigators that the girls had medical problems, but the mother had no proof.

Last month, Dwight Solander pleaded guilty to three counts of child abuse with substantial bodily harm. He faces decades behind bars.

Agents investigated complaints from three girls living in the Solander home at least three years before the former foster parents were arrested, according to court records.

Family Services officials have said the Solanders were licensed as foster parents in 2010 and that the department later revoked that license.

13 things  Americans want.

 

I like the way this is phrased because it recognizes that the political class are "bought and paid for". I believe that the basic premise is correct:  If you listen to Trump, he is hitting many of the hot buttons of the electorate.  But you have to listen to him and not be distracted by his showmanship and obnoxious behavior.

 

I like the list of 13 things that I, as a senior American citizen, want.  Trump is at least talking about issues that most Americans are concerned about. My mantra about Trump is this: Truthfully, We are usually in agreement with most of what he says but wish someone else was saying it.  We are offended by his brash manner. We are getting older and our tickers aren't what they used to be, but what matters is that he covers most of the 13 things we as seniors want, at least I do for sure.

 

1.  Hillary: held accountable for her previous wrongs!

 

2. Put "GOD" back in America!

 

3. Borders: Closed or tightly guarded!

 

4. Congress: On the same retirement & healthcare plans as everybody else.

 

5. Congress: Obey its own laws NOW!

 

6. Language: English only!

 

7. Culture: Constitution and the Bill of Rights!

 

8. Drug Free: Mandatory Drug Screening before & during Welfare!

 

9. Freebies: NONE to Non-Citizens!

 

10. Budget: Balance the <snip> thing!

 

11. Foreign Countries: Stop giving them our money! Charge them for our help! We need it here.

 

12. Fix the TAX CODE!

 

And most of all.

 

13. "RESPECT OUR MILITARY AND OUR FLAG!"

 

We the people are coming!

SAINT NANCY  :-)  Last Saturday afternoon in Washington, D.C. an aide to Nancy Pelosi visited the Bishop of the Catholic Cathedral in D.C. He told the Cardinal that Nancy Pelosi would be attending the next day's Mass, and asked if the Cardinal would kindly point out Pelosi to the congregation and say a few words that would include calling Pelosi a saint.    The Cardinal replied, "No. I don't really like the woman, and there are issues of conflict with the Catholic Church over some of Pelosi's views." Pelosi's aide then said, "Look, I'll write a check here and now for a donation of $100,000 to you if you'll just tell the congregation you see Pelosi as a saint."  The Cardinal thought about it and said, "Well, the Church can use the money, so I'll work your request intotomorrow's sermon." As Pelosi's aide promised, Nancy Pelosi appeared for the Sunday worship and seated herself prominently at the forward left side of the center aisle. As promised, at the start of his sermon, the Cardinal pointed out that Ms. Pelosi was present.    The Cardinal went on to explain to the congregation, "While Ms. Pelosi's presence is probably an honor to some, the woman is not numbered among my personal favorite personages. Some of her most egregious views are contrary to tenets of the Church, and she tends to flip-flop on many other issues. Nancy Pelosi is a petty, self-absorbed hypocrite, a thumb sucker, and a nit-wit. Nancy Pelosi is also a serial liar, a cheat, and a thief. I must say, Nancy Pelosi is the worst example of a Catholic I have ever personally witnessed. She married for money and is using her wealth to lie to the American people. She also has a reputation for shirking her Representative obligations both in Washington and in California . The woman is simply not to be trusted."    The Cardinal concluded. "But, when compared with Hillary Clinton, Ms. Pelosi is a saint."

WOMAN FOLLOWS SEAHAWKS PLAYERS TO PRACTICE: ‘GET OFF YOUR LITTLE F*CKING KNEES’

 

Their season may be long over but two Seattle Seahawks players are getting attention Monday after they posted a video of a woman verbally berating them for protesting the national anthem.

The video was posted to Neiko Thorpe’s Twitter account. Thorpe was in the car with another Seattle cornerback Mike Tyson on their way to the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton, Washington.

“Sound up,” Thorpe tweeted. “Please pray for tha world,” he captioned the video in part.

 

“You can’t get up and be a man?” the woman asks. “Get off your little f*cking knees and not represent the [country] that made you what you are?”

When Mike Tyson asks the woman her name, she responds by saying “I’m not telling you my f*cking name, what’s your name?”

To which he responds, “Big Mike.”

The woman apparently isn’t too happy with his response so she fires back, “F*ck off. I don’t care whoever you are. All I care about is the fact that my tax dollars pay for you to play, and go [expletive] play. And get off your f*cking knees.”

 PRESIDENT TRUMP ANNOUNCES SALE OF CALIFORNIA TO MEXICO    

WASHINGTON (AP) – February 2018

 

President Trump disclosed that he has reached an agreement with Enrique Pena Nieto, President of Mexico, which provides for the sale of substantially all of the State of California to the country of Mexico.

 

President Trump noted that this deal, which he claims “is his largest real estate deal ever” is a win-win for everyone involved.  One of the benefits he says he will highlight during a prime time address from the oval office later this evening, will include using the proceeds received by the US from Mexico to

 

1) pay for the Wall (fulfilling yet another campaign promise), a wall which will now include the length of the eastern border of California,

2) fund all the infrastructure spending in the remaining 49 states and

3) pay to relocate the 67 Republicans that currently reside in California.

 

He also noted that Federal money saved from the reduction of California citizens on US social programs will allow those social programs to be cash positive in less than 3 years.

 

Mexican President Nieto announced that he has already introduced a bill to the Mexican Congress asking to change his country’s name to MexiCal.

 

Other benefits President Trump intends to discuss during this evening’s prime time address include:

 

California will now be able to act as a sanctuary state within MexiCal noting that there is much more room for the refugees who will find the climate in the State of California more desirable than the climate in US cities such as NYC, Detroit or Chicago.

 

The elimination of the existing border between Mexico and California will allow drugs to flow more freely between Mexico and the users in Hollywood.  Drug tunnel diggers at the Tijuana border will now be able to use their skills to dig tunnels under Los Angeles to help ease congestion in that city and allow rioters to move about the city’s universities more freely.

 

The U.S. taxpayer will no longer be on the hook for any future disaster relief required once the next megaquake hits California. The space in the Capitol and other DC buildings vacated by representatives of California will be fumigated and turned into “time-out rooms” for the press as well as Liberty Centers where US citizens can meet with their congressmen to discuss the pursuit of economic freedom.

 

Nancy Pelosi released a statement stating that she looks forward to making the Mexican President’s life miserable and prefers the year round weather in Mexico City to that of DC.  Her office has already announced a schedule of fund raising activities for what is believed to be an upcoming campaign to run for President of MexiCal. Papers released along with Trump’s statement reveal that a newly incorporated real estate company, pmurT, Inc., which was intimately involved in the deal discussions, will receive a broker fee of $25 billion on the California sale. 

 

An anonymous pmurT, Inc. representative has revealed that the profits on the deal are HUGE and will be used to purchase, develop and convert all abandoned US Federal facilities in California into special high end retreats and resorts which will assist California residents with managing their euphoria and transition into the nanny state they have so long desired to be. The exact northern border of the new MexiCal is still under negotiation.

 

Apparently the White House is concerned that certain members of congress may be unwilling to give up California’s wine country and are suggesting that the northern border align with the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge. California residents will be issued special blue cards to cross the border into the US so that the total number of California liberals entering the US can be tracked and at any point in time not exceed predetermined levels.

 

 Residents that remain in California after the effective date of the sale will not be allowed to seek refugee status in the US in the future.

 

Mexican President Nieto stated he is thrilled with the deal and is looking forward to declaring Spanish the national language for his newly acquired territory and opening SSL (Spanish as a second language) schools throughout California.  He also noted that funding for the transaction would come from the Mexican drug cartels, which have agreed to provide low interest loans to Mexico so long as they are allowed to move their cash out of Switzerland and the Cayman Islands back into Mexico tax free. 

 

White House representatives refused to confirm rumors that a similar deal was in the works for the sale of Northeastern states from NY through Maine, to Canada.

 

President Trump wrapped up his statement stating, “This deal is HUGE and will help Make America, albeit a little smaller, Great Again.”

SCARBOROUGH: Hope Hicks, his most trusted aide, the person he relied upon the most, his emotional support in the White House based on everything I’ve ever heard from anybody sitting in front of congressional committees and I’m sorry, I don’t care what the reporting says, leaving the next day saying enough and — and leaving the White House.

 

BRZEZINSKI: And this behavior is changing significantly on her departure.

SCARBOROUGH: And after he hears she’s going to depart, him losing it and deciding he’s going to start a trade war.

 

BRZEZINSKI: Not that that’s inappropriate at all.

MAJOR MYSTERY

 

This is not a conspiracy theory or anything of the sort.  But since a year has elapsed since he left office, these questions seem to linger.  Where are all our super sleuths within the research community?  We can find a mountain of minutia on any subject if we have the will to do so.  Why nothing on this perplexing enigma? 

 

THE UNANSWERED MYSTERY OF THE CENTURY!!!    His 8 years of living in the White House is over.  The following came from a union guy in Chicago who didn't vote for Obama   Very interesting perspective…

 

It will be interesting to see what they put in his "Library" about his early years now that he is out of office.    In a country where we take notice of many, many facets of our public figures' lives, doesn't it seem odd that there's so little we know about Barack Obama? 

 

For example, we know that Andrew Jackson's wife smoked a corn cob pipe and was accused of adultery; Abe Lincoln never went to school; Jack Kennedy wore a back brace; Harry Truman played the piano.      As Americans, we enjoy knowing details about our news makers, but none of us know one single humanizing fact about the history of our own ex-president. 

 

We are all aware of the lack of incontestable birth records for Obama; that document managing has been spectacularly successful.    There are however, several additional oddities in Obama's history that appear to be as well managed as the birthing issue.    One other interesting thing...   There are no birth certificates of either of “his” daughters that can be found? 

 

It's interesting that no one who ever dated him has shown up.  The charisma that caused women to be drawn to him so strongly during his campaign, certainly would in the normal course of events, lead some lady to come forward, if only to garner some attention for herself.  We all know about JFK's magnetism, that McCain was no monk and quite a few details about Palin's courtship and even her athletic prowess, Joe Biden's aneurysms are no secret; look at Cheney and Clinton, we all know about their heart  problems. Certainly Wild Bill Clinton's exploits before and during his White House years, were well known.  That's why it's so odd that not one lady has stepped up and said, "He was soooo shy..." or "What a great dancer."  It's virtually impossible to know anything about this fellow.  Who was best man at his wedding?  Start there, then check groomsmen. 

 

Then get the footage of the graduation ceremony. Has anyone talked to  "HIS"  professors?  It is odd that no one is bragging that they knew him or taught him or lived with him.    There is no film of that graduation!!!   No professor has said he handed him a diploma.

 

When did he meet Michele, and how?  Are there photos? Every president gives to the public all their photos, etc. for their library, etc.  What has he released? And who voted for him to be the most popular man in 2010?  Doesn't this make you wonder?    Ever wonder why no one ever came forward from Obama's past saying they knew him, attended school with him, was his friend, etc??  Not one person has ever come forward from his past.    It certainly is very, very strange...  This should be a cause for great concern. To those who voted for him, you may have elected an unqualified, inexperienced shadow man.   As insignificant as each of us might be, someone with whom we went to school will remember our name or face; someone will remember we were the clown or the dork or the brain or the quiet one or the bully or something about us.    George Stephanopoulos of ABC News said the same thing during the 2008 campaign.   

He questions why no one has acknowledged he was in their classroom or ate in the same cafeteria or made impromptu speeches on campus.  Liberal Stephanopoulos also was a classmate of Obama at Columbia -- the class of 1984.  He says he never had a single class with him.   

     

He is such a great orator; why doesn't anyone in Obama's college class remember him? Why won't he allow Columbia to release his records?    Nobody remembers Obama at Columbia University.   Looking for evidence of Obama's past, Fox News contacted 400 Columbia University students from the period when Obama claims to have been there..  BUT NO ONE REMEMBERED HIM. 

 

Wayne Allyn Root was, like Obama, a political science major at Columbia who also graduated in 1983. In 2008, Root says of Obama, "I don't know a single person at Columbia that knew him, and they all know me. I don't have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia, ever."    Nobody recalls him. Root adds that he was also, like Obama, Class of '83 Political Science, and says, "You don't get more exact or closer than that. Never met him in my life, don't know anyone who ever met him.    At class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago, who was asked to be the speaker of the class?    Me.  No one ever heard of Barack!   

 

And five years prior, nobody even knew who he was. The guy who writes the class notes, who's kind of the, as we say in New York, 'the magha' (Yiddish) who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a human who ever met him."    Obama's photograph does not appear in the school's yearbook and Obama consistently declines requests to talk about his years at Columbia, provide school records, or provide the name of any former classmates or friends while at Columbia. 

Some other interesting questions: 

 

1. Why was Obama's law license inactivated in 2002?   Where is the record of him ever taking the Bar exam.

 

2. Why was Michelle's law license inactivated by court order? We understand that it was forced to avoid fraud charges. 

 

According to the U.S. Census, there is only one Barack Obama but 27 Social Security numbers and over 80 alias' are connected to him. 

 

The Social Security number he uses now originated in Connecticut where he is reported to have never lived; And was originally registered to another man (Thomas Louis Wood) from Connecticut, who died in Hawaii while on vacation there.    As we all know Social Security Numbers are only issued 'once, they are not reused.  No wonder all his records are sealed... 

Please continue.  Somewhere, someone has to know SOMETHING, before he reorganized Chicago?... SOMETHING!!!   He just seemed to burst upon the scene at the 2004 Democratic Convention.  ANYONE??? ANYWHERE??? ANYTHING??? 

 

I think soon much is going to come to light about this highly unqualified person who was President of the United States for 8 years.  Soon, we will know how badly we were all doped and duped by this impostor who has basically, with much help from his minions, brought the greatest nation in history to its knees in ruins.  That will be his legacy.    He totally destroyed the Integrity, morals and Christian heritage of our once great country.
